Recalling Records

popUp

To recall records, just move cursor to the alpha character or category you filed the record under, click to open popup menu, move cursor to desired record and click again. In the above example data saved as 'An Often-Typed Block of Text' would be copied to the clipboard.

2-Letter Indicator Codes

When an address book is loaded each record has a two-letter code appended to it indicating which action was assigned to the record when the record was created. If an 'EV' is appended this indicates that the record will be opened in the 'Editing/Viewing' window when recalled.
If there is an 'EM' appended to it this indicates that it was saved with the 'Email' action assigned to it and when recalled a new preaddressed mail message will be created and opened. If a 'BM' is appended then record was saved as a bookmark and when recalled the users internet browser will open and go to bookmark address.
If the record has a 'TC' appended then the contents of the comments field of the record will be immediately copied to the clipboard.

Overriding Assigned Actions

It is possible to override the action assigned to a record when it was created by depressing certain keys when recalling it.
To open a record in the 'Editing/Viewing' window despite what action was assigned to the record, depress the 'Shift' key while choosing record. Depressing the 'Alt' key while choosing record will result in the record's data being immediately copied to the clipboard.
