Canceling commands

Sometimes a process may become stuck, or you may change your mind about executing it after having already started it.

To cancel the running command currently shown in the results area:

Press ctrl-C, like in a traditional terminal.

Press command-period, like in traditional Mac applications.

The spinning “running” indicator also becomes a cancel button if pointed to by the mouse cursor.

Note that pressing Escape will not cancel a command, but will close the DTerm window. If this happens, just reactivate DTerm, and the running process will still be there and can be canceled by any of the methods given above.
