Matters
If you create a new client a new matter is automatically created. Additionally you can add more matters by clicking the
New
button below the matter table.
Most fields in the matter settings are optional but a matter name should contain a meaningful description since it is used on invoices or selection throughout EasyTime.
Matter Name
Enter a description for this matter. This is used throughout the application to make selections or identify what you are working on.
Case Number
This can contain any alphanumeric string used in filing.
File Number
This can contain any alphanumeric string used in filing.
Court
Select a predefined court name here. The list of court names can be edited in the
EasyTime settings
.
Practice Area
Select a practice area which this matter belongs to from a built in list.
Adverse Party Information
Enter any notes you want to keep about the opposing party here.
Adverse Attorney Information
Enter any notes you want to keep about the opposing attorney here.
Matter Notes
Use this field to keep notes about this matter.
