------ Flicker ------

Explain ---------

A while back I came upon an old game for the Atari called Moonsweeper. Back then alot of games were made for the Atari that it couldn't really handle and Moonsweeper was one of them. If ever there was too much going on, things would begin to flicker, including the player. Alot of the time, the player would disappear for seconds and the enemies and bullets would also.

Most games it makes unplayable. But something about Moonsweeper, although it's really difficult, there's enough information about whats going on for you to play it. It makes you feel whats going on more, instead of reacting to what you see. I figured that would be an interesting concept to explore.

Story -------

The year is 2069 and everyone decides to celebrate by 69ing for a year. You being the religious zealot you are, decide to travel back in time and destroy mankind.

Controls ------

left / right = move
Z = shoot
1 - 9 = volume
0 = mute
SPACE = pause
ESC = quit
F4 = fullscreen

Rules -------

Shoot stuff.

If you see this when you die, you will lose 25% of your score.

But, if this is visible you will only lose 3 points.

When you die, your state will be reset to danger and when you have destroyed enough enemies, it will return to safe.

Enemies -------

Sun:

The sun sits at the top of the screen spewing fireballs at you. If you happen to shoot it, it will get angry and throw two more at you. Hit it enough times and it will lose it's cool and barrage you with a bunch of fireballs...maybe it's good for earning points...hint hint hint

Fire comet:

These are the things the sun shoots. Dodge or shoot. There trails never flicker or go invisible so you can use these to see where there going.

Side Ball:

These spawn from the bottom of the screen and move in a circle to eventually land back on the ground.

Space Dot:

The Space Dots spawn from the side of the screen and curl up, back to the side they spawned from.

Black Hole:

Anything that touches a black hole becomes completely invisible until it's not touching it anymore.

Spot Light:

When the spotlight touches something, the something stops flickering and brightens up so you can see it clearly. Friend.
NOTE: If the spot light touches the black hole the black hole will destroy the spot light. :(

Debug Cow:

The Bovine Devine will prance around moving wherever it pleases. When you see it fade out and go black, don't be underneath it lest ye be take a milk shower.

Misc Tips --------

- While your in danger you'll shoot slower, you can speed it up by tapping the shoot button as fast as you can.

- Stay in the center of the screen as much as possible. The Space Dots will get you if you hang out to far left or right and if you begin swinging back and forth you surely will fall prey to Debug Cows Milky Rain.

- Use the comet's that the sun shoots to rack up massive score.
